All through the month of July, Doug is going to tell us about the health benefits to be gained from munching on his nuts….. So let’s start with a recent USDA decision that reads: “Scientific evidence suggests that eating 1.5 ounces per day of peanuts and certain tree nuts: almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios and walnuts, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risks of heart disease.” Wow! Even the chronically late Federal guvmint is jumping on the Doug’s Nuts bandwagon. Everybody hang on… it’s a wid ride!
